Basic Info Bio I am a singer songwriter and a traveler. I began traveling as a young boy. I was living with my grandmother in Cananda and on holidays, she would send me alone on the plane to go and visit my foster family in Los Angeles. It was always such a thrill for me, being alone on the plane and having the stewardesses bring me punch and little bags of nuts. I have never lost my love of travel. In my early 20s it became my main focus. II used to paint houses until I had enough money to take a trip and then I would hit the road for 6 months or so. I journeyed through India, Europe and South America during that period.
Luckily now, because I am a singer, traveling is part of my job. I get to meet all kinds of interesting people and see many strange and wonderful parts of the world.
My band is called Brazzaville. We have released many albums. More than a band, Brazzaville is like a huge, global family with members all over the world. At last count there were over 45 people who had played in Brazzaville. When I formed the band in Los Angeles in 1998 I never dreamed that it would become popular in such far flung places as Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus and China. But it seems that it is in these places that people most need the music of Brazzaville. I couldn't be happier as I love having the opportunity to visit so many amazing places.
I am starting this blog with the idea of using it as a kind of a tour journal so that I can share some of the wonder that I feel when I am on tour. I am, by nature, a really lazy person, but I will do my best to try to update it regularly and spice it up with photos and maybe even a little video from time to time.
